Pulse News Reader for Android brings news to your fingertips

We’ve been fans of the Pulse newsreader app ever since we clapped eyes on the iPad version earlier in the year. Now those of us with Android devices can too keep their fingers on the pulse (sorry) with all the latest news.

Costing $1.99 (roughly £1.30) Pulse News Reader pulls in articles from RSS feeds adding images and headlines in a visually rich grid layout. It’s easy to add feeds by tapping ‘add source’ and then just searching for a site by entering keywords. You can add YouTube channels and Twitter accounts too and arranging the order feeds appear on your screen is a piece of cake.

As well as being able to open links in your phone’s browser for the bigger picture, you can email stories to friends, post them to your Facebook wall or tweet them to your followers.

Best of all, the Android version of Pulse allows you to pull in feeds from your Google Reader, something that you can’t yet do on the iPhone and iPad versions.
