Recombu awards 2011: shortlist announced

Next week sees the very first Recombu awards, where we celebrate the best mobile phones, tablets apps and accessories of 2011.

Since we announced the awards, we’ve had thousands of votes, which the Recombu judges used to help determine the winners of 10 categories. Network of the Year and Social Networking App of the Year were entirely voted for by you.

We also asked for your suggestions on anything you thought might be missing, we also took another look at the mobile market to see if anything new was worth of inclusion. This has resulted in two new inclusions in the mobile phone categories.

All winners will be announced in a ceremony in London on October 20th. We’ll be revealing the Recombu voter picked at random to receive our fantastic prize bundle including: an Apple iPad 2 with Smartcover, Wacom Bamboo Stylus, £50 iTunes voucher for apps and 1-year subscription to Spotify Premium.
