Samsung C3560 retro flip phone heads to Virgin Media on pay-as-you-go, price TBA

Virgin Media is on a roll with it’s pay-as-you-go flip phones right now. After yesterday’s £30 VM665 we’ve now heard that the flip-tastic Samsung C3560 is also due to arrive on Virgin Media’s pay-as-you-go section within the next week.

Like the VM665, the Samsung C3560 is a flip phone with some pretty budget-level specs. There’s a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch display a music player and a built-in FM radio.

You get support for Facebook and Twitter too; no telling on whether it’ll come with 3G – we’re guessing not.

The Samsung C3560 isn’t yet up on Virgin Media’s pay-as-you-go page and we’ve not been able to get a price for this just yet. But we’re told that the phone should be available within a week or so.

Regardless of the initial price, you’ll be able to get 300 texts free each month if you top up with £10 of credit.

Topping £15 or more a month will earn you unlimited texts and 1GB of mobile web use which ought to cover you for your social networking needs. Otherwise it costs just 30p a day to access the net on Virgin Media’s pay-as-you-go plan.

Standard calls to UK landlines and mobile numbers costs 26p per minute and texts normally cost 10p per message.

However if you’re a subscriber to any of Virgin Media’s other services – home broadband, TV or landline phone services – then you can sign up for the Simply 8 plan. This allows you to call and text for 8p per minute/message.
