Samsung Galaxy Ace smartphone sells for £135 at Asda

Asda has put the Samsung Galaxy Ace smartphone on sale for just £135, which is a snip compared to the £263 price tag Currys has attached to the handset.

Chris Jones, Mobile expert at Asda, said the company wanted to offer customers smartphones with prices to match.

“The Galaxy Ace is one of the most affordable phones of its kind. It’s practical and lightweight yet delivers a multitude of advanced features,” Jones said.

In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Ace (see below), we liked the fact that it looks like a high-end handset, has a good processor and a 3.5-inch HVGA Touchscreen that is “plenty” for using apps, web browsing and touch typing.

We’re a sucker for the name, too. If we were going to pull on the spandex and be a superhero then we could do worse than calling ourselves Galaxy Ace. Much, much worse.

As mentioned the Samsung Galaxy Ace sells for a whopping £263.63 at Currys/PC World, for £164.99 at Argos, £153.77 at Amazon UK and for £149.97 at Tesco.

Asda is also selling the Blackberry 9300 for £119 on the Orange network with £10 of free airtime, with both products available in Asda stores and online.
