If news of the Asus Transformer Prime getting Ice Cream Sandwich next week isn’t extreme enough for you, maybe this will get your gears grinding.
The super-tough Samsung Galaxy Extreme Xcover will be winging its way to Clove next week. Boasting a 3.65-inch HVGA touchscreen, like the one of the Galaxy Ace Plus announced today, the Galaxy Extreme Xcover also brings with it a durable ruggedised exterior. It’s got an IP67 Protection Rating and is resistant to water and dust resistant as well as general wear and tear.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread its certainly a step up from the Samsung Solid Immerse in terms of features. As well as being able to take a beating beyond that of your average touchscreen phone, you’ll be able to check Google Maps on the go and play a bit of Angry Birds between throwing your phone off of mountains or using it to do some gnarly grinds at the skate park, or something.
The Samsung Galaxy Extreme Xcover can be nabbed now on a pre-order basis for £226.80 including VAT. We’d like to see how this fares against the Motorola’s Defy+ and Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Active in terms of endurance and general features.
