Samsung Galaxy Nexus video review

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is not only representative of the shape of Android to come – it’s the first device to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box – but it’s also a great phone in it’s own right.

The huge 4.65-inch AMOLED screen boasts an eye-meltingly high resolution of 1280 x 720 (aka 720p) and is protected by a layer of super-tough Corning Gorilla Glass. The pixel density of that screen is also a super-high 315ppi, so apps, games, web pages and pictures taken on the camera look incredibly rich and detailed.

The camera, though ‘only’ having a 5-megapixel sensor, is capable of taking some really detailed stills. It can also record HD video at 1080p – something to really behold.

Despite the pan-galactic size of the Galaxy Nexus (136 x 68 x 9mm) it feels incredibly lightweight in the hand (135g), but doesn’t at any point feel flimsy or insubstantial.
