Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 gets new design and processor boost

When we first reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Note we loved it and were very excited when Samsung introduced the new version with a 10.1-inch screen at MWC. Now it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 may already be getting a design and specification update.

Netbooknews.com is reporting that the Note 10.1 will be getting a performance boost, with a move from a dual to a quad-core processor.  But that’s not all,  the tablet/smartphone is also getting a minor design revamp, the S-Pen (stylus) is thinner and now actually fits into the side of Note 10.1.  Check out the picture below from Tablet Community.

This is certainly great news for anyone waiting for the Note 10.1 version – one of our frustrations with both versions of the Note was the lack of storage for the S-Pen. Unfortunately there’s no news yet when this device will be available in the UK.

Samsung has since released a special S-Pen holder, which converts the current Galaxy Note’s stylus into a full sized pen with function button thrown in. If you fancy getting a bit creative with your S-Pen and holder, check out how our very own Basil Kronfli got on in the following video:
