Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 headed to MWC

Slap bang after we’ve rounded off our experiences with the original Samsung Galaxy Note, the buzz over at Slashgear is that the Korean tech giant has confirmed a 10.1-inch variant dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for MWC, expected to arrive complete with S-Pen and all. On Samsung’s official blog, it is listed in between the original and the Wave Y under the heading: “Exhibition for developers”. With other signs having pointed to a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the evidence is mounting for Barcelona being the place it will hopefully all go down and with any luck we’ll get some hands-on time with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

One of the points we mention about the Samsung Galaxy Note in our re-review is the S-Pen being priceless, but fiddly with a very difficult to press button. Great for – Notes – but not so fantastic if you’re trying to get all Monet on your phone with Sketchbook Mobile. In turn, the larger display will hopefully come with a larger stylus too and still offer the same fantastic levels of accuracy as found in the original Samsung Galaxy Note.

It looks like the Note 10.1 will also be the key product on show for Samsung at MWC. Other specs however haven’t been confirmed so we’re as of yet unsure as to whether we’ll be seeing a quad-core or dual-core processor, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 matching resolution or finally a panel that matches the likes of the Asus and Acer’s full HD tablets due later this year. All should be revealed at the end of the month in Barcelona.
