Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich comfirmed: Q2 with Premium Suite upgrade

Samsung Galaxy Note owners will have to wait a little bit longer to get the Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich update. Samsung has announced it will land in Q2 as part of the new Premium Suite upgrade.

The upgrade includes a multitude of multimedia updates and all new applications optimised for the Samsung Galaxy Note’s S Pen and S Note, a tool that combines notes, grids, tables and sketches with digital content – handy for meeting notes and diary reminders. Also included is My Story; an S Pen optimised app that helps create personalised digital cards using any type of content on the device, including notes, videos, photos and text.

A cool new feature added to the Premium Suite is Video Everywhere, which allows users to watch videos while running other applications or surfing the web. The video “floats” on the screen in a position defined by the user, meaning they can continue watching the video whilst performing another task.

The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich brings a redesigned App menu for easier sharing of content and improving multitasking with faster performance and response times. It also introduces Face Unlock, Snapshot and Android Beam to users.

Earlier today we brought you news of the launch of Angry Birds Space, well Sammy has teamed up with Rovio to offer Galaxy users an exclusive GALAXY Note level. If that wasn’t enough, customers also receive a special package of 30 bonus levels names “Danger Zone” for free if unpacked within the three-month period.
