Samsung Galaxy Note on sale at O2

The Samsung Galaxy Note is now available to buy on O2 – and it’s not cheap.

If you want Samsung’s phone/tablet hybrid without paying a penny up front, it will cost you a whopping £63 a month, with unlimited minutes and texts and 500Mb data. However, if you are willing to pay £249.99 up front, it will cost you £16.50 a month, with 50 minutes, 250 texts and 500MB data. Both are on 24-month contracts. Even the £42 a month contract requires a £79.99 upfront cost.

O2 is the only network that will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Note, although it’s also available from Phones 4U on T-Mobile, Orange and Vodafone, while Carphone Warehouse is selling it an upfront cost of £599.99.

Running Android Gingerbread (with an Ice Cream Sandwich update coming soon), the highlight of the Galaxy Note is the huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, which has a high definition 1280×800. Powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 1.4Ghz processor, it has a an 8-megapixel camera and captures 1920×1080 HD video.

We’ve been playing with the Samsung Galaxy Note for a few weeks now and we’re really impressed. Check out our review here, but we loved the huge screen and it’s nippy processor.

Are you going to buy the Galaxy Note? Or have you been dissuaded by the price?
