Samsung Galaxy S 2 II available for preorder. Phones 4u gets exclusive April 27 release date

Phones 4u and Carphone Warehouse have both announced that they’re taking preorders for Samsung’s Galaxy S2, while Phones 4u have also managed to scoop an exclusive release date of April 27, when both preorders will be delivered, and you’ll also be able to pick one up in shops.

This also means that Samsung will be able to keep that April release date promised earlier this month.

At Phones 4u, tariffs will start from £35, and depending on your tariff, you could get the phone for free, or stump up a ‘nominal’ £10 payment up-front. Most contracts seem to be a garden-variety 24 month affair, but will be several 18 month contracts available.

Phones 4u have told Recombu that any preorders made before release day will also get a free 8GB memory card bundled along with with the Galaxy S2.

At Carphone Warehouse, expect to pay £35 per month to get the Galaxy S2 for free, otherwise it’s £499.95 on pay-as-you-go. There are tariffs with Orange, Vodafone, and O2 already available on the site, but nothing yet from Three or T-Mobile, though they have both announced they’ll be stocking the superphone.

The Galaxy S2 is thinner than Apple’s current iPhone, while packing the fastest yet 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, full HD (1080p) video recording, and all the features you’d expect from an Android smartphone, including access to apps in the Android Market, and optimised Google widgets for YouTube, Google Search, Google Maps and the rest.
