Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich update outed: Coming to Korea tomorrow

Looks like Samsung and South Korean network SK Telecom was planning to roll out an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to the Galaxy S2 tomorrow.

According to a tweet spied by The Verge (which has now since been deleted), SK Telecoms was planning to unleash the ICS update 10am local time on the 13th of March. We can only assume that Samsung didn’t take too kindly to the network spilling the beans ahead of any official announcement, hence the tweet being pulled.

With customers in Samsung’s native South Korea in line to get some Ice Cream Sandwich action on their Galaxy S2’s, this bodes well for S2 owners elsewhere in the world.

We’ve been hearing a few things from UK sources to the effect that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Galaxy S2 is coming very soon but nothing concrete as of yet. We’re hoping to get more on this very soon – watch this space.
