Two days since Samsung revealed its Galaxy S5, and Goophone has already ripped it off.
Goophone, a brand well-known for copying many flagships devices, has already ripped off the all-new Samsung Galaxy S5 just 2 days after its release. From the pictures below, you’ll have to agree that the resemblance is pretty uncanny. If you can’t afford the real thing, maybe this could work as an alternative.
Goophone has matched the Galaxy S5 in size, camera, and even in the small divots on the rear. The five-inch 1080p display boasts the same specs, as does the 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and 2GB of RAM. At the back there’s a 13-megapixel shooter, and the phone packs in 32GB of storage.
The 2,800mAh battery also matches the Galaxy S5. As for variety, well, we’re getting a serious sense of deja-vu. You’ll be able to get the phone in four different colours: white, black, gold, or blue.
The Goophone currently costs just £179, which is a huge chunk cheaper than Samsung’s flagship. Of course, the real question is can it come close in terms of performance, and jsut what features will it offer – we’re assuming there’s no fingerprint sensor for one, and wouldn’t be too confident dunking the Goophone in the bath.
