The Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung’s 5.1-inch super phone, will be landing on Three, EE, Vodafone and Phones 4u in the UK.

All the networks have confirmed that the Galaxy S5, newly announced at Mobile World Congress, is compatible with 4G on their particular frequencies.

Sharon Meadows, Director of Devices at EE, said: “The launch of a new Galaxy S has become one of the most anticipated moments in the tech calendar and the Galaxy S5 doesn’t disappoint.

“When paired with our 4G network, which offers the world’s fastest speeds, the device provides an unrivalled mobile experience – it’s super-powerful, features an amazing display, and comes packed with cutting-edge features that will put it right at the very heart of your digital life.”

The top speeds actually possible on EE’s 4G network is actually 300Mbps – double what the S5 can handle. If you want to go faster, then you may have to reach for something like Huawei’s E5786

Three and Vodafone aren’t talking about headline speeds, but Three says that customers will be able to sign up for the S5 and get 4G for no extra cost.

Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three said, “With great camera technology and innovative health features, we are delighted to be ranging the Samsung Galaxy S5.

“Perfect for those who want to tweet their park run progress or simply share a stunning sunset image on their way home, people can do so quickly using Three’s 4G network which we offer at no extra cost, while also making the most of our all-you-can-eat data.”

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is coming to every UK network except O2 – so far

No prices or release dates have been announced by any of the UK networks. Vodafone is letting customers pre-register now on its site.

You can also pre-register your interest for a Galaxy S5 at Phones 4u’s site. Scott Hooton, chief marketing officer at Phones 4u said: “We can’t wait to welcome the new Samsung Galaxy S5 into our stores this year.

“Its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S4, was one of the most pre-ordered smartphones at Phones 4u in 2013 and we expect the Samsung Galaxy S5 to be no exception to that trend.”

No word yet if O2 will be ranging the Galaxy S5. We’ve reached out to the blue network and we’re waiting to hear back.
