Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 to be announced on 22nd of March?

What’s your favourite number? What does it mean? Samsung has hinted at the arrival of the rumoured Galaxy Tab 8.9 on its Facebook page.

A picture displaying a otherwise nondescript tablet has been posted with the slogan “What’s your TAB life?” with the numbers ‘78910’ pasted on top.

The numbers presumably refer to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab’s 7-inch display, the Galaxy Tab 10.1’s, uh, 10.1-inch screen, and, well, what could the 8 and 9 possibly represent?

The poster is a teaser for the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011 event at Orlando, Florida on the 22nd of March. There’s no further clues about spec to be gleaned, though we’d imagine that this would run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb and have similar stats to its 10.1-inch bigger brother.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be exclusive to Vodafone when it launches in the UK – still no word on when this is due to hit yet.

We’ve spoken to Samsung about the Galaxy Tab 8.9 coming to the UK and we’re waiting to hear back.
