Samsung Tocco Lite 2 coming to the UK in March

Samsung has announced that the Tocco Lite 2 will be headed to UK shops and e-tailer sites next month.

The super-small touchscreeen phone has a 3-inch 320×240 (QVGA) TFT screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and supports Samsung’s ChatON IM client – think BBM but for multiple phone platforms.

Running the TouchWiz UI (but not Android) the Tocco Lite looks to be a pretty basic feature phone. No prices have been announced as of yet, but we can’t expect the Samsung Tocco Lite 2 to cost a sultan’s ransom.

There’s no images available yet, but we can’t imagine things looking too different from the original Samsung Tocco Lite (pictured).

Samsung’s press release mentions that ‘major networks and retailers’ will be stocking the Tocco Lite 2 from early March, so we’ll expect to hear more around then.

Simon Stanford, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division said in a statement: “Our range of Tocco devices have been among our best selling over the past few years. Thanks to the incredible response we’ve had to the original Tocco Lite and Tocco Icon handsets, we’re excited to now be offering our customers improved social networking and enhanced multimedia capabilities with the Tocco Lite 2.

Our aim with this new handset is to build on the features we know our customers enjoy and find useful by providing greater synergy between their mobile handset and their social networks, and in doing so, giving them more ways to stay in touch with their friends and loved ones when they’re on the move.”
