Samsung’s Wave II out today in the UK

Samsung have announced their latest Wave phone is now on sale starting today.

The Wave II has a 3.7-inch display, and runs on Samsung’s own Bada OS. Sorry, no Android on the Wave II. This means you’ll have to get your app pleasures from Samsung’s own app store.

Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland said, “Following the phenomenal success of our first high-end Wave handset last year, we wanted to take the smartphone experience we offer our customers a step further. They’ll also benefit from the growing popularity of our App store via the new gaming bundle we are offering.”

The gaming bundle includes several big-hitter titles from Gameloft and EA Games, such as Need for Speed, FIFA 10, Tetris and Assassin’s Creed.

The Wave II has a five-megapixel camera with LED flash, and it will all be powered by a 1GHz Humming Bird processor.

The Samsung Wave II is available now from O2 and Phones4U.
