Sky has updated its Sky Go for Android app adding on-demand and live content from channels including Sky Movies and Sky Atlantic.
Available to download today, the update to the Sky Go Android app means Sky customers will be able to catch-up on programs like Mad Men and Alan Partridge from Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living and Sky Arts One.
In addition for the first time Sky customers with a Sky Movies subscription will be able to access hundreds of movies on demand.
Holly Knill, Product Director of Sky Go, comments: “With the huge and ever-growing popularity of Android devices in the UK it’s fantastic to make on-demand content from Sky Movies and Sky Entertainment available to Sky customers for the first time.
Unfortunately the list of compatible devices is limited to the following at the moment:
• HTC Desire
• HTC Desire S
• HTC Desire HD
• HTC Incredible S
• HTC Sensation
• HTC Sensation XE
• Samsung Galaxy S
• Samsung Galaxy S2
Sky has confirmed by the end of July another update will add support for phones running Ice Cream Sandwich, including the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Samsung Galaxy Note.
Apple iPhone and iPad customers haven’t been left out either, an update to the iOS app adds the Anytime+ Entertainment section, with on-demand content from Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic and Sky Arts.
