Slash gets his own iPhone music game

Guitar legend Slash was once the face of console game Guitar Hero, but on iPhone, he’s going solo. Slash’s Arcade Rocker is a music game that popped up on the App Store earlier today, although it’s currently available in the UK.

It’s VERY Guitar Hero-esque, judging from the screenshots. The game lets you tap along to three songs from Slash’s latest solo album, and if you have more of his tracks stored on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can play them too. The preloaded songs are By The Sword featuring Him Out Of Wolfmother, Watch This featuring Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan, and Doctor Alibi featuring Lemmy. m/

The game also offers news, blog posts and tourdates from Slash’s official website. We have to say, Activision’s lawyers may have some pertinent thoughts on the gameplay – it even has star-shaped notes to boost your score. There are online features too, with high-score tables.

Assuming the game is out this week, it’ll be going head to head with Guitar Hero, but also iPhone music giant Tap Tap Revenge, which recently launched a Nirvana spin-off edition.
