Sonos has introduced the launch of the Sonos Controller for Android tablets, which means you can now control your Sonos wireless music system via a tablet.
The Sonos System Software 3.6 update is available now and enables you to control wireless streaming via an Android tablet running Android 2.2 or higher. The update applies to devices like the Sonos Play 3 and Sonos Play 5 system.
Other new features of the update include: alarms, music library management and Twitter support, support for the AAC- codec is new and support for Danish and Norwegian languages
Sonos Labs is a beta area where users can try music services before they launch on Sonos. The company is inviting music providers to submit applications that could be used on the Sonos system.

The update is available now to all Sonos customers over WiFi.
