In the land of giant smartphones, the X10 Mini Pro looks minuscule. It measures 52mm by 90mm by 17mm – about the size of an Oyster card from the front.
Specs-wise the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro boasts a 2.5-inch touchscreen, a slide-out Qwerty keypad, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, a 5-megapixel camera, an FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD slot and a bespoke interface which allows you to use it with one hand.
We’re about to review it but we thought you’d like to get a better look at it and see what’s in the box first: there’s a charger with a pull-out USB cable and a pair of 3.5mm headphones with a built-in microphone.
It’s a small phone but it’s thicker than the iPhone 4 or HTC Desire, for example.
The slide-out Qwerty keypad is surprisingly usable.
On the back there’s a 5-megapixel camera with LED photo light.
We can’t explain how happy we are that the X10 Mini Pro has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Expect the full review soon. You can get the X10 Mini Pro for free on a monthly contract.
