Cheer up, little buddy! We know you were rooting for Ericsson, but it’s not like all the Sony Ericsson phones in the world suddenly disintegrated. You can still buy them!
Wipe away your tears for just a moment and take a look at the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. This mid-range offering is now available for purchase in the UK, coming in at £250 sim-free, and you can find it even cheaper if you have a little look around. Not bad considering the specs on offer too.
The Xperia Neo V has a 1Ghz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.7” 854×480 display, and 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording. It might only be running Gingerbread, but Sony have promised that their 2011 line of smartphones will see an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, so you’ve got a nice little treat to look forward to down the line.
You’ll also be able to play with Sony’s tweaks to Android, like the 3D panaroma mode originally found on the Arc S, and Facebook inside Xperia.
