E3 2011 And Sony Ericsson has announced the Xperia Play Experience Pack (XP151). An accessory pack comprising of games and hardware designed to improve the mobile gaming experience of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.
The pack lets you download three Gameloft titles, choosing from nine pretty impressive games: Assassins Creed – Alter Chronicles, Real Football 2011, Lets Golf 2, Brothers in Arms Global Front, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, Uno, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, Eternal Legacy and N.O.V.A. Games can be downloaded using a supplied QR-code or online using a voucher and activation code.
Also included in the pack is a Multimedia Dock DK300, Pocket Micro USB (which most people already have) cable and Music Cable. Basically everything you need to dock the phone and connect the handset to a stereo system so you can play games with enhanced music playback.
Launched in March, the Xperia Play was the first PlayStation Certified Android smartphone, combining the functionality of an Android handset with Playstation controls.
There’s no news on pricing on availability yet, but we’ll bring you information as soon as we get it.
UPDATE: Sony Ericsson has confirmed to Recombu it will cost between £29.99 and £34.99 and will be available around July/August.
