O2 has just tweeted the following on it’s official Twitter page: “Awesome news – the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is coming to O2.”
Along with this very exciteable tweet there’s a link to that bizarre-but-awesome promo video we saw a few days ago.
After god knows how many years of whispers, rumours, do wants and the rest, the Xperia Play (aka the PSP Phone) has finally been officially announced by Sony Ericsson.
Now O2, along with Vodafone, has announced that it’ll be bringing the Android 2.3-powered gaming phone to the masses.
We contacted O2 for further information but were told it’s too early to comment on price or even a release date yet; they’ve literally only just landed the Xperia Play.
Vodafone has yet to announce any prices or an ETA either; we’ll be keeping an eye on both of them and will let you know as soon as we do.
