Another Android-exclusive for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play gaming phone is coming. This time round it’s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, a top-down 3D adventure that’s received some warm reviews when it arrived on the iPhone earlier this year.
Controlled by an on-screen virtual dual stick set up a la Gun Bros on the original, the Guardian of Light ought to translate well to the Xperia Play’s particular set up.
Developed by Square Enix, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the first in a number of titles from the company to head to the Xperia Play. Tantalisingly, the release from Sony Ericsson says that “more established hits from Square Enix” are due “in the coming months.”
More established hits from Square Enix? What could they possibly mean?
We’ve been hoping, praying, adding Luck Materia to our Mythril Bracers for Final Fantasy VII since we heard the Xperia Play was coming out. Could the wait finally be over?
Meanwhile, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light should be kicking ass and chewing bubblegum on the Xperia Play in November; no exact release date has been given.
