Sony Ericsson Xperia ray appears online, available now from Vodafone

Sony Ericsson’s very latest addition to their Android phone range is available now on Vodafone’s online store.

We’ve been testing the Xperia ray over the last week, and have been impressed by the performance of the stylish handset.

From Vodafone, the phone is free starting on its £26 per month tariffs. This will get you 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data per month, over 2 years.

Vodafone are currently offering the Gold version, no news on whether the other UK networks will get exclusivity on other colours; Sony Ericsson have also made the Xperia ray in white, black and pink.

The Xperia ray manages to pack in a powerful 8.1-megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R sensor, which allows for better pictures in bad lighting. This camera sensor is also capable of HD (720p) video recording, whilsty the whole phone measures just under 10mm, and weighs a mere 100g.

Being Sony Ericsson’s latest Xperia model, the phone arrives with Facebook Inside Xperia, syncing your friends Facebook profiles and updates with their numbers in your address book.

This Facebook functionality extends to YouTube videos and Spotify playlists directly from your Facebook live feed, using the respective apps.
