The Sony Ericsson R300 is a classic candybar handset with a large external speaker for music playback. Although it does have some extra features, it’s a very basic handset for those after a simple life.
The onboard music player on the Sony Ericsson R300 supports both MP3 and AAC files (two of the most common music file formats) and features an FM radio as well. Sony Ericsson’s patented TrackID software – which allows you to identify a song or track simply by holding your phone up to the speakers – is also included on the R300.
Storage space however is limited to 8MB and, as there’s no memory card slot, you can’t expand this. At least you won’t need to save too much space for photograhs, restricted as you are by the Sony Ericsson R300’s low-quality 0.3-megapixel camera – practically prehistoric by today’s standards.
