Sony Xperia J priced: Three the newest member to the party

The Sony Xperia J may play second fiddle to the the Xperia T, but the premium look and feel, as well as the some unique design touches don’t give on the differentiation between the two handsets that Sony might have anticipated.

Internally the handset doesn’t have quite the same punch as its Xperia superior, better reflecting its mid-range status. The handset features a 1GHz single-core processor, powering a beautiful 4-inch WVGA display. On the back we were also impressed with the 5-megapixel camera, an element Sony always try to insure performs well.

Sony Xperia J

One of the key gripes that we found with the J is that we’re unsure of how its hardware will fare on a typical two-year plan, as such we’re including the shortest tariff on offer from each of these carriers alongside a plan which they recommend. Alternatively you can check out our Sony Xperia J Deals.

O2

The Xperia J can be had for just £34 a month on a twelve month plan which offers 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB of data and the ability to upgrade from the J one month early. Meanwhile O2 recommend their On & On plan; for £26 a month customers retain the ability for a one-month early upgrade, with unlimited calls and texts alongside 1GB of data every month in a two-year plan. In both cases the cost of the Xperia J is totally free.

Orange

Although Orange and T-Mobile now operate under one banner in the form of EE, the more traditional 3G handsets still feature independently on both carriers. The Sony Xperia J can be had for the £20.50 a month on a two-year Panther plan granting access to 100 minutes, unlimited texts and email access, 500MB of mobile data, one free Orange Swapable, access to BT WiFi hotspots and a free handset.
