Stevie Wonder has revealed himself as an Apple fan, praising the company’s products for their accessibility.
In an appearance at LA Nightclub, while ad libbing between songs Wonder (who was born blind) goes on to pay tribute to Steve Jobs and his products.
‘I want you to give a hand to someone that you know, who’s health is very bad at this time… his company took the challenge in making his technology accessible to everyone, in the spirit of caring and moving the world forward: Steve Jobs. Because there’s nothing on the iPhone and iPad that you can do that I can’t do’
Apple sets out it’s commitment to accessibility on its website, but such features in the iPhone 4 and iPad include screen magnification and VoiceOVer.
Other more computer-centric inventions to aid accessibility developed by Apple include: brail mirroring – so deaf and blind children can work together using the same computer; the worlds first screen reader that can be controlled using gestures and captures digital movie downloads.
