Looking like a combination between the previously spotted Samsung Hercules and the current Galaxy S2 model seen in the UK, this whopper of a device could have literally been the next big thing from Samsung’s phone wing.
Instead, it appears to be Samsung’s Galaxy S Personal Media Player – an Android-powered iPod Touch rival, replete with the Android Market for apps.
There’s a few points that suggest it’s the PMP (on the right) the front-facing camera is on the right of the front, whilst the traditional physical button is a rare occurrence with most of Samsung’s recent Android offerings; all the US variants have plumped for four capacitive buttons below the screen.
We could be wrong, but as it stands, we’re going to call a spade a spade; it’s probably not a new Samsung Galaxy smartphone. The device hasn’t been pegged for launch just yet, but that five-inch model looks pretty tempting.
