T-Mobile are reportedly on track to launch their own ultra-portable tablet – in the States, at least. Packing a 1.2GHz processor and 32GB of storage behind a 7-inch multi-touch display, the T-Mobile Springboard will be touching down in the US in the very near future.
We’ve also had a tip from a super-secret source that the Springboard will also be making its way to the UK as early as next month. We can’t give too much away, but from what we’ve heard UK customers in the market for a 7-inch mid-range tablet could see the Springboard arrive at the start of November.
We’ve not had any word on pricing yet, although with the Kindle Fire currently racking up pre-orders across the pond with its stupidly low $199 price tag, we’d expect other tablet manufacturers to start feeling the squeeze in the next few months. With Huawei’s budget mobile background, perhaps they’ll be able to meet T-Mobile’s desired specs on the cheap.
