Tesco Mobile now offers 4G LTE for £2.50 extra a month

Have you chosen what provider to go with for LTE access yet? Because now you have another network to consider. Tesco today announced that it will be offering LTE access on top of its standard tariffs.

As you may already know, Tesco is a MVNO – a mobile virtual network operator. They don’t own any cellular equipment. Instead, they resell O2’s service under the Tesco brand so they can offer cheaper deals. Everyone wins, especially now that Tesco is adding LTE into the mix.

Tesco says that anyone upgrade to LTE by adding £2.50 a month on top of their current monthly plan. That would mean you’d be able to get 2GB of data, 5000 texts, and 1000 minutes for £15 a month on a 12 month SIM only contract – a pretty good deal, overall. Better yet, the LTE option is available from today. Customers already using Tesco can log into their account and see a “4G bundle” option. Otherwise, LTE is just a phone call away.
