TomTom have updated their popular iPhone Satnav application to work on iPad, now available as a free update to TomTom users who have purchased the pervious smartphone version.
The newly updated app has had it’s graphics snazz-ified to fit the iPad’s 9.7-inch screen. Previously, the app had to be stretched from its native iPhone size to fit the larger tablet screen, leaving it looking all grainy and decidedly un-Apple. The app has also been updated to include new points of interest and speed camera locations.
“This new release – now officially called ‘TomTom App for iPhone/iPad’ – is a logical next step for us”, said Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director Consumer at TomTom. “Our customers asked us for iPad features, and now they have them. We have enhanced everything the iPad user sees and interacts with on the touch-screen.”
The updated TomTom app is available in the App Store for iPad now, priced £49.99.
