With vuvuzela apps plummeting in popularity following England’s exit from the World Cup, there are hundreds of 59p novelty iPhone apps looking to fill the gap. Unspoken is one of them.
It’s very simple, but may provoke a giggle or two. It’s a comic strip bubble generator: you type in whatever words you’d like to say, and they’re turned into a cartoon speech bubble. The developers suggest noisy pubs may be the ideal environment to use it to get your message across.
You can tweak the type of bubble and adjust the display brightness – apparently it needs to be low if someone’s taking a photo of you using it. Other apps of this type are available – iHi for instance – but the speech bubble aspect of Unspoken is fun.
