Wednesday Deals we’ve spotted this week include the Apple iPhone 4 on T-Mobile’s new unlimited everything Full Monty plans, a reduced price Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer and Samsung’s Galaxy S2 on a new Orange contract.
On the pay-as-you-go side of things there’s a couple of good mid-range Android phones that can be had on the cheap right now; the LG Optimus Black and the HTC Wildfire S. Scroll on down for more details on the deals plus all-important links.
16GB Apple iPhone 4S with unlimited data on T-Mobile’s the Full Monty
T-Mobile’s Full Monty unlimited tariffs launched last week to much fanfare. Coming with unlimited data, unlimited minutes and unlimited calls to other T-Mobile numbers as standard, we can see the Full Monty really taking off.
Right now you can snap up a 16GB Apple iPhone 4S on such a plan for £36 a month. You’ll have to pay £99 up front for the phone itself and the contract is a 24 month deal. But when you’ve got a truly unlimited data plan with no fair usage policy, this deal could pay for itself within months if you’re looking to Wi-Fi tether or be permanently syncing photos via iCloud. Wi-Fi-only HTC Flyer: £234.99 down from £449.99 on Expansys
The HTC Flyer is a more attractive prospect now that the update to Android 3.2 Honeycomb has rolled out.
As well as providing a more natural tablet experience, the updated Flyer improves support for the Magic Pen active stylus. You can now use the pen in place of your finger to do simple things like navigating menus and screens. Before it was a case of juggling between your hand and your stylus to do things which didn’t at all feel smart or intuitive.
At a sub £250 price from Expansys, the Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer (7-inch screen, 16GB of internal memory) is a steal. [link]
Samsung Galaxy S2 on Orange Panther 26 Tariff
One that we would have otherwise included in our round-up of Samsung Galaxy S2 deals from last week is this Panther 26 plan from Orange, via Carphone Warehouse.
A 24 month deal, this gives you 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB data for just £26 a month. The Galaxy S2 itself is free on this 24 month contract, which also throws in two Orange Swapables for good measure. This means you can access services including the Deezer music streaming service on your Galaxy S2 (normally £10 a month) for no extra cost.
This deal is available until the 24th of February and comes by way of Recombu’s very own deals engine.
HTC Wildfire S: £129.99 from Phones 4u
We’ve a soft spot for the HTC Wildfire S, it being the recipient of a Recombu Award at the inaugural 2011 bash. It’s currently available to buy in three colour variants – white, black and pink – for just £129.99 on pay-as-you-go from Phones 4u.
All deals are conditional to you paying the mandatory £10 for a credit top-up, so the total price is £139.99.
The white HTC Wildfire S is only available to buy from Phones 4u with O2 credit, whereas the black and pink Wildfire S’s can be bought on O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone pay-as-you-go plans.

LG Optimus Black: £189.99 SIM-free from ebuyer.com
The LG Optimus Black has a neat trick up its sleeve in the shape of it’s 4-inch NOVA display. A super-bright gives the LG Optimus Black great outdoor legibility and good levels of contrast. Design-wise it’s a bit of a looker as well with a super-thin 9.2mm waist. There’s a 5-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel round the front for videocall and self-portrait shenanigans.
Though shipping with Android 2.2 Froyo updates to Android 2.3 Gingerbread are available now, so you should be able to upgrade this with minimal fuss. It’s also in line to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along the way as well – no word on exactly when just yet though.
You can now pick up the LG Optimus Black SIM-free and unlocked from ebuyer.com for a not at all bad £189.99. [link]
