Where to buy the new iPad in London

If you’ve not already queued up and got your new iPad you might be wondering where you can pick one up in London. We’ve rang around and asked at places that are selling it so you don’t have to.

Apple stores – Regent Street, Covent Garden and Westfield Stratford City

The best bet if you want to pick up 64GB new iPad is to get on over to an official Apple Store. Unavailable at most other places, Apple’s London stores on Regent Street, Covent Garden and Westfield Stratford City all have stock of the 64GB versions.

There’s stock of 16GB and 32GB at the Covent Garden and Westfield stores but we understand that Regent Street’s store has sold out of 16GB Wi-Fi only new iPads.

In terms of queues, Regent Street’s store told us to expect an hour’s wait but Covent Garden and Westfield wouldn’t comment on queue times.

Network Stores

Orange has small amounts of stock left at its Strand and Great Marlborough Street branches in central London, but only of the 16GB and 32GB versions.

Similarly, T-Mobile has no stock of the 64GB versions in its Oxford Street stores, but there are a few 16GB and 32GB new iPads in both colours left.

Three didn’t have any stock of 64GB new iPads at its Strand or High Holborn stores, but we were told they could be ordered in. Not all of Three’s central London stores had stock of new iPads but you can pay for an iPad at any Three store in London and then pick up your new iPad later at a handful of ‘key stores,’ which are at White City, Westfield Stratford City, Oxford Street.

We’re still waiting to hear back from Vodafone on its availability of the new iPad.

Carphone Warehouse and PC World

PC World on Tottenham Court Road currently has stock of all versions of the new iPad 16GB, 32GB and 64GB in Wi-Fi only and 4G and Wi-Fi.

Carphone Warehouse is only selling the new iPad in three stores in central London, 272 Oxford Street, Centre Point (4 Oxford Street) and Selfridges (400 Oxford Street).

We understand that all iterations of the new iPad – in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB – are being sold but that stock is low – we’re waiting to hear back on exact availability from Carphone Warehouse.

Though Tesco is stocking the new iPad at its bigger branches, it wouldn’t comment on accurate stock availability of the new iPad.

Check back for updates on availability of the new iPad today; we’ll be updating this piece frequently.

Availability is correct at the time of writing, but will likely change during the day
