We’ve covered London, but what about elsewhere in the UK? We did a sweep on availability of the new iPad in Manchester at the flagship stores, network outlets and other retailers.
Apple Stores – Arndale and Trafford Centre
In Manchester you’re looking at heading over to the official Apple Stores at Arndale and the Trafford Centre. There’s limited stock of all variations of the new iPad at both stores with the Trafford Centre store reporting an hour and a half wait. So if you’re not already in the queue then Arndale might be a better bet.
The Orange store on New Cannon Street has stock of all sizes of 4G and Wi-Fi, with only one black and one white of the 64GB version currently in stock. There’s currently 80 new iPads in store though we were told that Apple may recall the stock if the flagship stores in Manchester start running dry. None of the other Orange stores in Manchester we got through to were reporting stock.
T-Mobile’s shop in Arndale has very limited stock, with only one 16GB 4G and Wi-Fi and two 32GB 4G and Wi-Fi. All other T-Mobile stores lines were busy.
Three has limited supply of 16GB and 32GB 4G and Wi-Fi new iPads in its Manchester stores.
At the time of writing, the store on St. Ann’s Square had just three of the 16GB and two of the 32GB versions going. Stores in the Arndale, Trafford Centre and Stretford stores are reporting that they’re out of stock.
No Three stores in Manchester currently have the 64GB new iPads.
PC World, Carphone Warehouse and Tesco
PC World at the Arndale, Trafford Centre and Warrington stores have limited stock of the 16GB Wi-Fi only and 4G and Wi-Fi models as well as the 64GB equivalents, but none of the 32GB models.
Carphone Warehouse told us that branches in Manchester won’t have any stock of the new iPad in until Monday.
Tesco, as with London, wouldn’t comment on accurate stock availability of the new iPad.
