Some early pricing has appeared online for the ZTE Tania, the company’s first Windows Phone handset to hit the UK. Clove is selling it for £249.99 (including VAT), with stock due the week commencing February 13th.
Expansys is also advertising the ZTE Tania for £249.99 and is accepting pre-orders for both the white and black version, although there’s no news when exactly it will be available.
The ZTE Tania is an interesting proposition, it includes a 4.3-inch screen (one of the biggest we’ve seen on a Windows Phone handset), 1Ghz Qualcomm MSM 825 processor and 2GB RAM.
At its launch the company claimed ZTE Tania will be:’the most affordable 4.3-inch Windows Phone on the market.’’ At £249 it’s certainly in the middle of the smartphone market, although specifications such as the 1Ghz processor and 2GB internal memory mean it’s highly unlikely we’ll see a £100 Android handset.
The ZTE Tania’s biggest rival in this mid-market area the Nokia Lumia 710, which is slightly more expensive at
£300 and £299 at Clove and Expansys respectively. Check out what we thought of the two phones here.
We’ll bring you more news when we get it and a full review of the ZTE Tania as soon as possible.
