Apple iPhone 6 photos reveal much bigger screens

Leaked photos of the Apple iPhone 6 reveal a larger, rounder phone than previous iPhones

Photos of the Apple iPhone 6 have just leaked, and at first glance it looks like more like an iPad than an iPhone. The photos show the iPhone 6 to be much larger and rounder than any of the previous iPhones, although its signature camera and flash port, and familiar Apple logo, still remain.

South China Morning Post reported that users will be able to choose their iPhone 6 in two different sizes, 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, both a huge size upgrade over the iPhone 5s’ 4-incher. It also claimed that Apple will discontinue its cheaper iPhone 5C, but the iPhone 5S will still be made – but using cheaper materials.

We’re expecting the new iPhone 6 displays to sport the usual eye-pleasing HD quality, but no other details have leaked, such as whether the iPhone 6 will pack an A7 processor or host a new 64-bit chipset.

Apple hasn’t officially announced the iPhone 6 yet, but according to the SCMP, industry insiders say it will hit stores in September. Users can of course expect premium pricing for a premium smartphone. The iWatch is also said to be released in September, along with our first glimpse of iOS 8.

Once the iPhone 6 comes out, or once we hear of more information, we’ll keep you posted. For now, what do you think of the iPhone 6 images so far? Let us know by dropping a comment below.
