Motorola Spyder/Droid RAZR and Xoom 2 break cover (again)

Motorola’s unannounced products seem to be quite happy being leaked, and we’re not complaining. It’s the Motorola Spyder (or Droid RAZR) and Xoom 2 posing yet again for their close ups.

We’ve seen the front of the Spyder before, and now we’ve got a nice look at the derriere too: what looks to be that Kevlar coating that was alluded to gives the back of the device a distinct textured look. The 4G and Verizon logos also confirms this as being an LTE phone for Big Red, adding to their ever growing portfolio.

No mention of final specs for the phone in this round of leaks, but if the original information is accurate then you can look forward to a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, and an “HD” front facing camera. Curiously, the pictured prototype is said to be clocked at 1.5Ghz, presumably for testing purposes.

The Xoom 2 (also known as the Media Edition) is said to be in “better shape” than earlier versions which still had some goblins and gremlins under the hood. Otherwise we’re still looking at an 8.2” IPS display, and judging from the positioning of the Motorola branding a tablet that’s meant to be primarily used in portrait rather than landscape.

No word on availability yet, but Motorola’s recent video teaser suggests we’ll be hearing something on the 18th October. Stay tuned.
