Samsung is predicting sales of its quad-core Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich the Samsung Galaxy S3 to hit 10 million in July.

JK Shin, Samsung’s President of Samsung Mobile Communications said Samsung expected sales of its latest flaghip phone the Samsung Galaxy S3 to reach 10 million in July, reports Business Week.  Global sales of the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S2 reached 50 million over two years.

“We’re getting far better feedback on the model overseas than what we experienced with the Galaxy S II” said Shin.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been a huge success across the globe for Samsung since its launch in March. In the UK it broke records at Phones4U to become the most pre-ordered handset in the company’s history.

Just last week the Samsung Galaxy S3 was finally available in the US, where sales are also expected to be strong and it’s due to go on sale in South Korea today.

Strong sales of the Galaxy S3 in July will help Samsung to record Q1 earnings from mobile, selling 93.5 million handsets, a rise of 36% year on year.

The news comes as UK retailer Three announced the Pebble Blue version of Galaxy S3 is back in stock, after delays caused by problems with the Hyperglaze finish.

It will certainly be interesting to see how strong sales of the Galaxy S3 are in South Korea and particularly in the US, where it will be the first high-end smartphone from Samsung to use the same across all US networks.
