Fiat Panda 4×4 Antarctica images, price and specs

Special Edition Fiat Panda 4×4 aims to go where no other Panda has been before.

Fiat has revealed a special edition version of the lovable miniature off-roader that is the Panda 4×4. The Antarctica edition celebrates 30 years and 500,000 sales since the Panda came to be and has a picture of a penguin on the driver and passenger doors. We know you’re tempted.

The Fiat Panda 4×4 Antarctica separates itself from the pack by having a black roof, white paintjob, special badges, diamond-finished 15-inch alloy wheels and a smattering of orange detailing such as on the door mirrors. Did we mention it has a picture of a penguin on the driver and passenger doors?

Other additions include a unique grey and orange interior, dark-tinted rear windows, three-passenger rear-seat with 60:40 split/folding backrests, height adjustable driver’s seat as well as the usual air-conditioning, ESC stability control, electronic locking differential, ‘specially tuned suspension’ and tyres designed to cope with the rigours of mud and snow.

And a penguin.

An 85bhp 0.9-litre TwinAir petrol and a 75bhp 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel are available.

Only 300 Fiat Panda 4×4 Antartica editions will be built so you’d better strike while the iron is hot. The price is £14,845 for the petrol and £15,845 for the diesel, according to the Fiat UK website. Not bad considering the standard Panda 4×4 starts from £14,145.

If you happen to live somewhere more remote, you could always check out the Panda 4×4 mounted on top of 59-inch tractor wheels, although it’s tragically lacking in penguins.
