TalkTalk TV is letting customers get premium UKTV channels including Gold and Watch for free over the Christmas holidays.
Subscribers can sign up for free access to GOLD, Watch, Alibi, Eden, Good Food and Home from today until January 8.
Though most of the UKTV channels tend to serve up classics like Blackadder and Only Fools and Horses, viewers will also be able to get Christmas specials from Monty Python Live and hit US crime shows Rizzoli & Isles alongside home-grown UK favourites like Sherlock and New Tricks.
The six channels are normally only available to customers who sign up for the Entertainment Boost (normally £10/month) and Entertainment Extra Boosts (normally £15/month) on top of TalkTalk’s TV and broadband bundles.
Discounting promotional introductory rates, Essentials TV (up to 17Mbps unlimited broadband, free driveless YouView box) costs £8.50/month, while the more expensive Plus TV bundle (up to 17Mbps unlimited broadband with a 500GB YouView box and seven Sky TV channels gratis) will set you back £18.50/month.
Right now, TalkTalk is offering TV half price for 12 months, meaning you can get Essentials and Plus for just £4.25/month and £9.25/month for a year. The standard rate of line rental applies and if you want to take TalkTalk Fibre (up to 38Mbps unlimited broadband) that’ll still cost you an extra £10/month.
TalkTalk TV customers are also due to receive a number of updates in the new year – namely Connected Red Button, giving you faster access to BBC catch-up content and Netflix, home of hit shows including House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black and historical fantasy epic Marco Polo.
