Sky Service app lets customers manage their account anywhere

Sky subscribers can now manage all their account details with a new app for Android and iOS.

The Sky Service app lets subscribers check their bill, change their settings and manage any upcoming engineer visits, showing all of their Sky subscriptions in one place.

It also allows customers to choose which Sky+ HD box in their house their remote record requests will get sent to, change their TV PIN, and check and change their Sky Broadband Shield settings.

Chris Stylianou, Sky’s customer service group managing director, said: “We’re always looking for ways to improve our customer service and make our customers’ lives easier and we think the new Sky Service app is a great way to help them save time.

“Our customers can now check engineer appointments and view and pay their bill whenever it suits them, without having to call us.”

The app features a search and Q&A function to help customers solve problems using just their phone, and if it’s not able to solve a query, the app will give them the number to speak with a Sky advisor. If there is more than a two minute wait, they can request a call back instead.

Sky Service is free to download for both Android (4.0 or higher) and iOS (iOS7 and higher) devices, from Google Play and the iTunes App Store.

Sky offers its customers more apps than any other UK TV provider, including for Sky+ remote control, Sky Go, several Sky Sports apps, Sky Movies listings and Sky Cloud WiFi auto-login.
