TalkTalk TV has passed the half a million milestone, having signed up its 500,000th customer.
Confirming the YouView-based service’s status as the UK’s fastest growing TV service, Dido Harding, TalkTalk’s Chief Executive, said: “Reaching this milestone in less than a year is a great achievement, but it’s just the beginning.
“Each week thousands more homes are signing up to YouView from TalkTalk. Customers tell us they love the great value entertainment we offer, plus the flexibility to watch it when and how they want.”

Customers also have the option of adding Sky channels including Sky Sports and Sky Movies for an extra monthly sum.
As it’s bundled free with the Plus broadband and phone package, TalkTalk TV represents a good value offering to customers who want a smart TV-type service but don’t want to pay expensive monthly subcriptions.
TalkTalk says that three-quarters of customers choose to upgrade from Freeview and Freesat, and a quarter of customers have bought paid for content with family entertainment, movies and children’s programmes proving most popular.
Harding added “As the UK’s fastest growing TV service, we remain committed to bringing affordable pay TV to more and more families across the country.”
Since launch, TalkTalk TV has added Star Plus, the UK’s largest Asian channel as well as Japanese, South African and Arabic channels. Later this year, TalkTalk will be launching an Essentials TV product, which offers the exact same TV service but through a cheaper set-top box.
