Apple iPhone 5: rumoured to use larger 4.6-inch Retina display

News from a South Korean media source, Maeil Business Newspaper, states that the next iPhone will include an even sharper Retina Display and be packing a larger 4.6-inch screen for us to drool over it on, as reported by Reuters.

Apple is expected to launch its latest instalment in the iPhone series later this year and (according to the South Korean papers unnamed industry source) has started placing orders for the larger display with suppliers. Although LG Display and Samsung Electronics Co, two of Apple’s biggest suppliers, have declined to comment.

The size of the display mirrors that of Apple’s rival handset the Samsung Galaxy S II, which boasts a screen size of 4.3-inches, with added OLED display.

As the new iPad 3 launch passes us by, the next big mobile release we are expecting from Apple will be the new iPhone and we’re sure there will be many more rumours leading up to the launch. We will of course keep you updated as we find out more.
