Pocketnow’s source at HTC strikes again with a press image of what looks to be HTC’s next slate; the HTC Quattro.
If the source is accurate, the HTC Quattro will come with Nvidia’s Tegra 3/Kal-El quad-core, hence the quad-tastic name. Already rumoured to be in development, we’ve now got some juicy (if unofficial) specs to mull over as well.
The 10.1-inch screen is said to have a display res of 1280 x 768, which means that this baby seems well suited for some HTC Watch action.
The tipster is also claiming that Beats Audio support may come included, which would give the Quattro a sound boost befitting of it’s rock ‘n roll namesake.
Storage is listed at 16GB plus microSD support and a Dropbox account will come built in, so you’ve got a cloud locker out of the box. There’s said to be a chunky 1GB of RAM on board to compliment the processor too.
Cameras (there’s two) clock in at 2-megapixels for the main/rear and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front that’s capable of 720p video for Skype and Google Talk videochats.
Support for the HTC Flyer’s stylus is also mooted; it’ll be interesting to see how HTC responds to Samsung’s S-Pen on the Note.
Release is tabbed for early next year. We’ll be surprised if we don’t see any kind of next-gen tablet action from HTC at CES or MWC, whether it’s called the Quattro or not.
