Orange has just announced that the Motorola Atrix will be hitting the shelves as early as tomorrow. The Atrix will be the latest dual-core Android phone to hit the shelves, following in the wake of the LG Optimus 2X and the Samsung Galaxy S 2 (II).
The Motorola Atrix will be available for free on a £35 24 month deal (which gives you 600 mins, unlimited texts and 750MB) and a special Panther Extra 60 plan, which gives you 3,000 minutes, 1GB data allowance, unlimited texts and unlimited Wi-Fi per month.
Presumably this’ll work out at £60 a month, based on the name of the tariff – the Motorola Atrix page on Orange’s site appears to be down at the moment. We’re chasing up Orange on this now.
As well as the phone itself, you’ll also be able to snap it up with some of those head-turning multimedia docks that we saw back in January.
Amazingly, Orange will be selling the wireless keyboard and the HD multimedia dock along with the remote control and a mouse for an additional £49.99. Fittingly, called the Work and Play Kit, this deal gives you around £130 worth of stuff in one bundle for less than half the price. Can you say bargain?
In addition to this, you’ll also be able to buy the eye-catching laptop dock, which normally costs £299.99, at a “reduced price,” on selected tariffs.
Again, we’re unable to see just what these reduced prices are at the moment due to the page being down – we’ll get back to you on this as soon as we hear from Orange.
Still, if you were intrigued by the Motorola Atrix when it was first announced – let’s not forget that the phone unlocks with a biometric fingerprint scanner – you’d be wise to register your interest here.
