Is it a smartphone? Is it a tablet? No, it’s the Samsung Galaxy Note and it’s coming to the UK on Thursday the 17th of November.
The huge phone/tiny tablet turned more than a few heads when it was announced at IFA this year, back in September.
The Galaxy Note has got a massive (for a phone) 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen (WXGA 1280×800, 285 PPI) and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
There’s an 8-megapixel main camera that records and plays 1080p video up to 30 frames per second. It basically looks like a Galaxy S2 that’s had one too many scoops of creatine in it’s health shakes.
Along with all this there’s also the magical S Pen stylus that allows you to doodle all over the phone and take notes with the S Memo app.
Samsung says that the Note will be “available in the UK across major networks, key high street and out of town electrical retailers”, so stay tuned from announcements.
Clove currently has the Note priced at £600 including VAT. More details on prices from other vendors and the networks as and when we hear them.
