Samsung Galaxy S Advance: What’s in the box?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 might have been hogging the headlines over the last few weeks and notching up some very impressive sales, but if your budget quite doesn’t stretch to Samsung’s flagship phone then the Samsung Galaxy S Advance is worth your consideration.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 it runs Google’s Android operating system, although currently it uses Gingerbread, instead of Ice Cream Sandwich overlayed with TouchWiz complete with features like Social Hub and Gaming Hub.

In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance has more in common with the Samsung Galaxy S2 than the Galaxy S3, with the same dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and a slightly smaller AMOLED touchscreen, which is still a generous 4-inches.

Other specifications include a 5-megapixel primary camera with a wide range of selectable features and front-facing camera for video calling, there’s 8GB internal memory, of which 7GB is usable and can be expanded using a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is available now on contract or SIM free. Our sample came from Expansys and costs £329.99 sim free. We’re currently putting the phone through its paces and will bring you a full review of the Samsung Galaxy S Advance as soon as possible, but until then here’s a look at what’s in the box.
